The History of Roland Martin Marina

| Roland Martin Marina was founded
by Roland and Mary Ann Martin in the early 70's |
It all started back in 1965 when Roland would come down to
Lake Okeechobee to spend some time fishing in with his
friends. During the 70's he and wife Mary Ann would come
down and spend the winters filming his Outdoor Fishing TV.
show called Fishing With Roland Martin, they
both feel in love
with Lake Okeechobee and the Clewiston area. Big bass, warm
weather and a quaint little town full of southern
hospitality is what they both loved here.
In 1981 the Martin's bought a little fishing shack marina and the
some vacant property and decided to open up Roland Martin
Marina. It was a very humble beginning and they started very
small, but armed with the love and passion for fishing and a great vision
for what they wanted to have, "The Best Bass fishing
destination on Lake Okeechobee ",
nothing was going to stop
them. In 1986 they started building the
property up into what it is today. As of 2008 Roland Martin
Marina and Resort consists of motels, condo, guide service,
restaurant, TIKI bar, ship store, tackle store, airboat
rides, service
center, RV park and clothing department and our constantly
looking for more great ideas to complements the property and
make your fishing trip even better.
Roland Martin Guide Service is considered to be the most
credible and respected service on the lake and has been
providing quality fishing trips since 1981. The Martin's
pride their selves in making sure their customers are well
taken care of. Roland Martin Marina has built their name and
reputation on it. We encourage you to come enjoy the Bass

We have put Blood, Sweat and Tears into this property and
it puts a big huge smile on our faces when we see people and
